So I just got my Assignment Notification and the Air Force wants to send me to Spain! More specifically, Moron Air Base just outside of Seville, Spain. Seat Lemon Cuppa for you!

I'm insanely excited and I can't wait! If anyone has been there or anywhere around there, drop me a comment and let me know what to look forward to. Also, let me know what sports car I should look into!

And this is why I hated the Air Force when I was in the Army. Our OCONUS assignments were Korea or war, and Korea was an unaccompanied hardship tour.

I can't believe I completely forgot about Spa! I don't really have anything sporty right now. Was planning on a Genesis Couple if I got a stateside base. Now thinking of a Leon Cupra or a Megane RS.

Back then it was a pretty small base, at least the number of Americans was small. I think the Navy had fifty or sixty and the Air Force had something like thirty so everybody knew everybody. It's also a Spanish Air Force base and they outnumbered the Americans but they usually stayed away from the American areas. Moron is a pretty small city and at the time there was only one or two clubs that we would go to and only a handful of bars. Sevilla on the other hand is pretty big but it wasn't a short drive. Hopefully they have improved the roads because back then they were terrible . All in all Southern Spain was pretty damn great, but it is very very hot in summer so a trip to the coast is always a good thing. We used to go to Torremolinos whenever we could but even just going to Rota was a good break.

There's plenty to see in Spain. I've been in Sevilla, it's a fantastic place. There´s plenty to see there, Plaza de España, Catedral de Sevilla, Real Alcázar de Sevilla, Puerta de Jerez. You also have Granada, where La Alhambra is, relatively close to Morón, so I think it's worth it to go there too. When are you coming?
